Durham County Senior Ladies' Golf Association
Very sad to announce the passing of Lilian Bennett last night having celebrated her 100th birthday in December.
Lilian was a member of Tyneside golf club, and earlier Garesfield golf club. She was Captain and President of both DCLGA and played team golf for both Associations, 100 times for DCSLGA.She was a lovely lady, role model, inspirational and will be missed by many. Our sincere condolences go to her family and friends. Lilian’s wishes were for a very small funeral, close family only and no flowers. Her chosen charity is RSPCA.
